Are you a perfectionist?
Do you have trouble setting boundaries or asserting your needs (in your personal and/or professional life)?
Do you feel stuck or unsure how to move forward?
I’m a recovering perfectionist myself, and I know the struggle of having to assert myself in my personal and professional life (including asserting myself into a brand new career after establishing myself in the legal world). Navigating life transitions can be hard enough; but, with the added pressure we often place on ourselves, it can feel impossible.
Quitting being a lawyer to embark on a completely new profession as a therapist turned my world upside down. It was hard to give myself permission to make such a change, and I felt pressure and anxiety to make it work. Now, I couldn’t be happier with this decision. I’ve always had a fairly balanced "left brain" (logical) and "right brain" (emotional) personality, and I’ve found a career that perfectly suits both aspects of myself.
I can help you talk through whatever your situation may be to help you determine:
clear, actionable steps to move forward
boundaries that need to be set and how to set them
realistic expectations for yourself and others
I offer psychotherapy for individual adults and couples/partners, and am able to treat most psychological and emotional difficulties. I have specific interest in and experience with:
Corporate professionals (attorneys and otherwise)
Adult ADHD and other neurodivergencies, including ASD and SPD
Emotional dysregulation, including overregulation (difficulty feeling and expressing emotions) and underregulation (feeling caught up in emotional chaos)
Assertiveness and healthy boundaries, and recovery from “people pleasing”
Anxiety and panic
Relationship problems, including non-traditional relationships (poly / kink aware)
Fertility issues, peripartum and postpartum concerns, motherhood
